Congratulations, Fellow Nurse. I knew you could do it. Wonderful!

Don't want to take ANYTHING away from you, because you deserve to by thrilled...

But,

Way back when I graduated ('72), there was no puter testing. GN's had two full days of testing, and GPN's had one full day. All day long, one 'subject' after another, on THEIR time schedule, not ours.

As a GDH (84), we STILL had a full day's testing (Not on puter) taken in Mar before we had even finished school, and then the Clinicals in MAY, before graduation, with MORE questions for part of one day, PLUS on the second day, we had to have found our own: Xray pt, Charting pt, and Prophy pt, and all three had to pass their inspection before we could even begin, to make sure that they really WERE difficult enough... PLUS, after completion, each area had to pass THEIR re-examination. That is hell.

Glad that they don't do it that way for you today. (They still do, for RDH!!! And if we move to another state? We MAY have to take it all over again, INCLUDING the full day National Boards, even if working fifteen years full time with continuing education!! )
