Locked out & a patient died

Good luck with the Neuro!!! I hate that stuff, it just won't stick in my head. For some reason, it just doesn't click for me.

Anyway, thought you'd be interested to know that where I am, if death is expected, RNs can pronounce the death. If the patient is unexpected, it has to be a doctor.
Let's see - I guess you have to assume that the pt had spontaneous eye opening. They are definitely confused if only oriented x 1, and you have to assume they can move their extremities.
You have to assume an awful lot to answer that GCS question.
The urine output was a red herring.
They did not give you enough information to truly answer that question correctly. But god forbid you ever question a nursing instructor !
